Instruments available

We have divided our instruments into the following categories according to difficulty of construction:

B

Beginners: All the parts are accurately machined and the joints carefully made. A few pieces may require simple trimming to size.

S

Some Experience: These instruments are a little more complex and there are a few more adjustments to be made. Previous experience at precise work is advantageous.

E

Experienced: The construction is more difficult, and probably not suitable for the first-time builder. Some use of hand tools is expected, and the maker must be able to read and understand a drawing.

P

Professional: The instructions are supplied only in summary form, and to produce the best possible result it is necessary to be familiar with the construction of early keyboard instruments and very comfortable with the use of hand tools.
